Tell us about your facility's needs — we'll match you within 24 hours.
We've made the process simple so you can focus on running your facility.
Fill out the form above with your facility name, state, and details about the equipment that needs testing — patient beds, oxygen concentrators, vital monitors, or any other PCREE.
We match your request with a certified biomedical technician (CBET) in our network. They'll review your needs and send you a free quote — no obligation.
Work directly with your technician to schedule the inspection. They'll complete testing, provide full documentation, and get your facility ready for your next CMS or Joint Commission survey.
Our network technicians perform every aspect of PCREE inspection required by CMS, NFPA 99, and The Joint Commission.
Leakage current measurement, ground resistance testing, and insulation checks ensure no electrical hazards exist for patients or staff.
Every device is verified to operate correctly — infusion pumps, vital monitors, patient lifts, oxygen concentrators, and more — per manufacturer specifications.
Inspections are performed to NFPA 99 (Health Care Facilities Code) and NFPA 101 (Life Safety Code) standards required by CMS Conditions of Participation.
Regular inspection identifies wear and potential failures before they cause equipment downtime — reducing emergency repairs and extending equipment life.
Detailed inspection records are provided for every device — dates, findings, corrective actions, and technician credentials — essential for survey readiness.
Our technicians understand what CMS surveyors look for. Testing is structured to prepare your facility for unannounced state and federal inspections.
"We had a surveyor on-site two weeks after our PCREE testing was done. The documentation your technician provided was exactly what they asked for — no citations, no deficiencies. First clean survey in three years."
"PCREE Test matched me with a biomedical technician who provided our annual PCREE testing. We are pleased with the results — our patients are safe and we are in compliance with the regulations."
"Finding a qualified BMET who understood SNF documentation requirements was impossible on our own. This service saved us hours of searching, and the technician knew exactly what surveyors look for."
From Our Biomedical Technician Network
"The facilities that come through PCREE Test are serious about compliance — they're not kicking tires. I get the request, review the scope, and can usually have a quote back to them the same day. The SNF work is steady and the documentation expectations are clear, which makes the whole job go smoother."
"I've been doing PCREE inspections for over a decade and the referrals from this network are some of the most straightforward I receive. The facilities know what they need, the paperwork requirements are understood upfront, and I leave every job with a signed inspection report the administrator can file the same day."

PCREE stands for Patient Care Related Electrical Equipment. Here's what testing is required, how often, who can perform it, and what surveyors expect to see.

Most SNFs treat PCREE testing as a reactive task. They scramble before a survey, then forget about it for 11 months. Our annual preventive maintenance program puts you on a fixed schedule — same certified technician, survey-ready documentation filed automatically, one invoice per year. No surprises.
PCREE stands for Patient Care Related Electrical Equipment. CMS and NFPA 99 require skilled nursing facilities to annually inspect and test all electrical equipment used in direct patient care — beds, lifts, infusion pumps, vital sign monitors, and more. Facilities that cannot produce current inspection documentation during a CMS survey risk citations under F-tag 880 and related Life Safety Code standards.
CMS and NFPA 99 require at minimum annual inspection and testing of patient care electrical equipment. Most facilities complete testing once per year and retain the documentation for at least the past two survey cycles. If equipment is added mid-year, it should be tested before being placed into patient care service.
Common equipment tested includes electric patient beds, patient lifts and slings, infusion and IV pumps, vital sign monitors, pulse oximeters, blood pressure units, feeding pumps, sequential compression devices (SCDs), portable suction machines, and any other electrically powered device used in direct patient care. Our technicians will inventory and test all qualifying equipment during the visit.
We respond to all quote requests within 24 hours during business hours. For facilities with an active CMS survey window or an impending survey date, we prioritize scheduling and can often arrange a visit within a few business days. Coverage is nationwide — we have certified biomedical technicians in all 50 states.
You will receive a complete equipment inspection report formatted for CMS surveyor review. Documentation is delivered the same day testing is completed and includes pass/fail status for each device, technician certification information, and any recommended repairs. The report is formatted to satisfy F-tag review under the CMS Life Safety Code survey process.
Pricing depends on the number of beds, quantity of equipment, and your location. Most SNFs receive a quote within 24 hours of submitting a request. There is no cost to request a quote, and there is no subscription or annual fee — you pay per visit. Annual PM program pricing is also available for facilities that want to lock in a fixed annual rate.
CMS surveys are unannounced. If your certification window is open or a surveyor is already on-site, submit a request now and note your urgency in the form — we prioritize facilities with active survey windows and respond same day during business hours.
